Airbus leads the way towards sustainability in Nordic Airports

The aviation industry is reinventing itself. ✈️ Airbus, Avinor, SAS, Swedavia, and Vattenfall are joining forces in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to investigate the feasibility of hydrogen infrastructure at airports in Sweden 🇸🇪 and Norway 🇳🇴.

🌿 This project aims to better understand the operations of hydrogen-powered aircraft and refueling needs, contributing to the development of a sustainable aviation ecosystem.

Moreover, it will identify which airports will be the first to adapt to operate hydrogen-powered aircraft in both countries, along with the corresponding regulatory framework. This is the first feasibility study of its kind covering 2️⃣ countries and more than 5️⃣0️⃣ airports, reflecting the ambition to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
