🛰️ The ESA’s Proba-3 mission is set to achieve something truly remarkable! By using precise formation flights of its dual satellites, it will create a shadow to eclipse the Sun. This feat, previously thought impossible, is scheduled for a joint launch in September aboard India’s PSLV rocket.
Before that, the scientists involved will test the hardware during a real solar eclipse over North America in April. Right now, the satellites are undergoing final integration in Belgium and have already received a visit from a team of 45 solar physicists. 🌍
Their mission? To observe the solar corona, which is crucial for understanding solar phenomena. 🌞
